Engineering roles
We’re looking for problem solvers who are interested in transforming the way that energy is delivered.
Our engineers need to be a step ahead of changes in how energy is consumed, to help ensure that our future network design can support the greater demand for power and the transition to greener energy.
We’re building a modern and renewable grid, deploying community batteries, microgrids, EV charging stations and critical energy infrastructure to power the Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport, the Aerotropolis and the surrounding precincts.
Our engineers and project managers are:
- Exploring innovative technologies to improve network performance and helping to maximise the value of distributed energy resources (DER) for everyone
- Designing critical infrastructure to service the needs of our customers and community
- Managing the reliability and resilience of our network

Field and operational roles
Our field and operations team work hard to help us maintain our electricity network and deliver safe and reliable power to everyone. Roles include powerline workers, electricians, control teams, technical support, scheduling and general operations.
Distribution powerline workers are involved in transmission and distribution fields, including the underground and overhead feeder network.
System electricians work as technologists, focused on constructing, maintaining and testing major substations.
System control teams manage access to the network, allowing vital maintenance work to be conducted safely and with minimal outage times.
Other roles cover technical support and the efficient scheduling of work, as well as management and leadership roles.
Corporate services roles
