Need our network assets moved? Here’s how and why
You can make a request to move our network assets. These include poles or replacing overhead wires with insulated or underground cables. Here are some of the reasons to move our assets.

Moving an asset
The work required to relocate our assets could require significant planning and investment. Including:
- Trenching and boring
- Reinstating paths or roads
- Dismantling and relocating poles and overhead wires
- Relocating streetlights, or telecommunications equipment mounted on our poles
- Installing new network infrastructure
- Adding or changing connections to our network
- Possibly relocating or connecting substations apart from the ones you want to move

Making changes to your existing supply will usually require the assistance of an Accredited Service Provider (ASP) to plan and carry out the work. All ASPs will need to follow our contestable works framework.
