Your responsibilities

When you request a new or upgraded electricity connection, we’ll take care of the poles, wires and network - right up to your property’s connection point. However, some aspects of the connection will be your responsibility. 

Here’s what you need to manage:

  • Making sure your site is safe and accessible for our crews
  • Hiring a licensed electrician or ASP
  • Providing correct site information, approvals and plans
  • Keeping private poles and service lines in good condition (if you have them)
